I am thinking about getting an UV tattoo soon but I have read some articles saying that it is slightly dangerous to do.

Is there anyone out there who has UV tattoo's and is completely unaffected by them, as I am debating on this and don't really want to do something which will be harmful in the long run.

they can be harmful because you can be allergic to the ink they use. I know somebody who had to get a skingraft because he developed an allergy to it after about two years. Your bodies immune system changes all the time and you can develop allergies. It can also coagulate in your skin and feels like hard plastic. Go for a normal tattoo with normal ink much safer if you ask me.

Thanks, I knew there was an initial risk but I didn't know the long term effects.

I would have a normal tattoo but it would be on my wrist and my work policy states I cannot have one there so I was thinking of UV. But now that you've said that I think I'll just get one in white ink where it would be visible if you knew it was there.

Thanks again spk.

I was going to say get a white ink, but you beat me to it. I have a blood tattoo (cutting) on my back filled with white ink. It is quite large but you can barely see it, but in the right conditions it is really eye catching.

Good luck.
