(I know I posted this last night but it got banned, for some reason!!.. and it got loads more answers which I didn't get to read)

My friend has been having problems with her stomach. Everytime she eats something she ends up feeling bloated and sick afterwards. She thought it was because she was eating bread everyday for her lunch at work so she tried having soup instead and she still felt bloated and sick afterwards. She went to the chemist and told them and they seemed to know what she had and gave her some pills but also said if it persists then she should go and see a doctor. It has persisted so she has made an appointment. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this could be? I know that the doctor will just fob her off with some stupid pills.

Thanks xx

I'm not an expert or anything but I saw someone on telly who had that problem and she was losing lots of weight and couldn't eat but they reckoned the root cause was stress and the subsequent anxiety about 'could she manage to eat something today' was making it worse; it was a vicious cycle. I can't see how pills could solve it.

Funny enough I was thinking it could be that as thats kind of what I had. I will speak to her about it and see what she thinks. I went to a homeopath in the end as the doctor just kept giving me Gaviscon.
Could she be suffering from IBS. That can offset so many different problems leading to Bloating, Constipation,Diarrhoea amongst many. Certain foods such as bread can be a trigger. Maybe she should keep a diary regarding what she eats.

How weird and tiresome that your previous post got banned.

Thanks you guys. I shall see what happens. I think bread is possibly the worst thing she can eat if she is feeling like this.

Some people were playing silly beggars and reporting threads last night for fun. Abed informs me they have now been banned though. :o)
