what food makes you feel better whilst you are on your period (sorry guys not meaning you)


i love eating chocolate it makes me feel loads better cos its so bad for you

mmmm hot chocolate, toasties, soup, hot chicken sandwiches, chip butties, a big chinese take away. all of my fav comfort foods.


along the same lines but i also love hot water bottles, steamy baths, cosy jammies, a good book and a soppy film during my period.

You missed out big pants shazbang :-)
oh, almost forgot - the one best thing guaranteed to make you feel better is lying in your partners arms being cuddled and getting your hair stroked. you feel like its the safest place in the world and everything will get better. i almost wish i had my period now to do all these things! ah well, will have to wait to next week.

you dont wish you had a period trust me im in agony need to go hommmmmmmmmme

chocolate, coke, tea and coffee and any caffeine is thought to make period pains worse.


Coffee does with me so I avoid it. A nice long hot bath is the best thing to comfort me, followed by cosy jarmies and curling up on sofa or under duvet

a hot water bottle BIG box of chocs on the sofa watching a good film in peace and quiet.

I got a rolo easter egg and I�ve saved it just for big pants week when it will be more appreciated :-)
stylinsam, I'm on day 2 and have also got the tummy/back ache (you blokes don't know how easy you've got it!!), but we've just come back from Sainsbury's cafe, where I had a veggie brunch, with a fried slice (mmmmm), and a piece of carrot cake...made me feel so much better for a while! On a 'normal' day, I'd have had soup and a roll with no cake, but if you can't over-indulge at that time of the month, when can you?!!!
...And, yes, I'm wearing my passion-killer knickers!!!!!

Who said chocolate was BAD for you, if you eat plain high quality dark chocolate with no sugar added etc.. it is supposed to be quite good for you, at least that is what is mentioned here.


Buy one of those wheat bags that you heat up in the microwave, theyre much better than a hot water bottle and are great for just abount any ache/pain or even if youre just feeling chilly !

Chocolate... or at least cocoa is a very rich source of iron.. so..


During ones period it is essential to replace lost iron .. so... eating chocolate is not only comforting it has beneficial factors also...


At least, thats how I reason it ;-)
