Do u find that if u have ever been cheated on, u find that u then cheat with someone elses boyfriend/girlfriend?? My ex cheated on me with one of my mates and it broke my heart, i have since realised that i have gone out for drinks or coped off with someone elses partner for example my married boss- why do u think this is?? if i got so hurt, why would i inflict that pain on someone else??

I have done exactly the same!!

I think sub-conciously (sp?) its a safety net! We aren't setting ourselves up for dissapointment coz we know they are already married, in a relationship, whatever!

I also swore I would never do it but here I am.. and so the cycle continues!

every guy i have had a relationship with has cheated on me...i could never ever cheat on anyone cos i know the hurt and pain it causes, i couldnt bring myself to do it. you are probably letting him know indirectly that no matter what pain he inflicts on you, you can dust yourself down and go out and move on. maybe a married man isnt the way to be doing it but you are probably proving to yourself that you can get anyone you like....i dont know i'm no psychiatrist!!! lol

I have done something slightly similar.

I was going out with my ex for 3 yrs. We were completely happy, never argued, loads of things in common etc. He finished with me and about 3 months later he was going out with a girl who used to fancy him, who I suspected he liked aswell.

We have now been apart for a year, but for the first 6 months or so, he was coming back to me. At first when I was still heart broken, I saw it as a way of keeping hold of him, but then I started to see it as a way of sort of saying 'haha and you thought you could do better, shes obviously not what you wanted'.

But now, I feel a bit sorry for her, and couldn't care less about him! I still get a bit of satisfaction knowing he couldn't quite give me up though!

But until that point, I had never cheated on anyone I've been with or been with anyone whos already attached.

ive done it to my ex cheated on me with one of my mates then when i went to a party i cheated with this lad and hurt one of my mates i know im only 14 andi havnt had as much exsperiance as other people but ive done it too.

i dont know what realy happens but i think its it because you think that because you've been cheated on you think no one wants to go out with you .
so you take any chance you've got well that what i think anyway
