Can anyone tell me what name/term is used to describe the condition where the pigment in skin becomes patchy and a different colour to your normal skin colour? Thanks

vitiligo a conndition where the skin turns white as it has no melanocytes which produce melanin or skin pigment
Michael Jackson syndrome
Vitiligo where your skin loses its pigment and becomes very pale, almost white and is symmetrical, if it appears on one forearm, it will eventually develop on the other forearm. My daughter suffers from a skin disease, similar to vitiligo, however her skin itself breaks down and forms a rough almost transparrent surface. Lichen sclerosus, but this is not symmetrical.
