Hi Everyone, I know I should probably have posted this in Health but I know from cb, you generally get responses quicker and I'm a bit anxious.

A week or so ago I posted a question re chilli burn, In this thread I passed comment that I had 3 blotchy marks on my hand from what I thought was the chilli, however I later realised I had the marks on my hand beforehand.

Initially I thought this was just dry skin so I started using moisturiser more on my hands (Boots Vitamin e cream, vaseline creams, dermovate, hemp) but none of these have gotten rid of it. The past few days it has gotten quite itchy and red and regardless of what creams I use, It will not fade.
The marks are much darker in pigment to my own skin, they look like a dark tan colour it is pink in parts. It is quite unsightly and I really want it to go away. I don't know what has caused it, I haven't changed detergent or my diet so I am at such a loss. My mam said the pink type part looks like a burn but I haven't burned myself so I am at such a loss..

Do any of you know what this could be? And how i can get rid of it??

Apologies again for posting in cb. xx

I wish the letters r and n together didn't look so much like an m.

Not yet..Oldgeezer..thought I'd try here first..
The pink parts are quite tender to the touch so I honestly don't have a clue..

suzy - are you on the contraceptive pill?

My skin on my face when I've been in the sun develops a darker tan patchy area.. its not red or sore - but was quite unsightly... I heard it was due to the oestrogen in the pill - which makes skin react that way sometimes..

I am Nosha but I've never had this before...
Probably just my deteriorating eyesight.

I'm occasionally suffering from seborrheic dermatitis, but that tends to be red & itchy rather than dark brown. Can't help but think guesses made here can be no more than that. Could be a lot of things I'd bet.
Think you should make an appointment with your doc supersuezy if you're worried. :o)

Hi suezy, if you're out and about tomorrow, try and get some of this. I use it all the time and it's excellent stuff. Worth a try anyway.
