Hello there, I am concerned about a problem that I have. I am supposed to be on my period as we speak. However, the last few days I have felt the syptoms, especially the stomach pain, but no period. I know it sounds weird, but it feels like a blockage. It's wants to come out but it won't. My husband and I have been having unprotected sex, and are trying to get pregnant. I thought that maybe I was, but I took a test yesterday and it came back negative. I am worried it my be endometiosis or something. My mom had that and she had to have a hystorectomy. I am scheduled to get a pap later on today, so maybe it can shine some light on my situation. Until then, I can take all the help and advice I can get. I have never encountered a problem like this. I am usually right on time and normal.

Sounds exactly like the first signs of pregnancy to me! Wait a day or two and try another test. If it still comes up negative, make an appointment with your gyno, just to be safe! Good luck!

I just read that last bit - can you have a pap if you suspect you are pregnant? You should tell them first.

yes, I also suggest you tell them you *may* be pregnant. I think even the best home kits do not react so soon. Wait a few days and try again.

i held off doing a test with these pains as i was sure i was going to come on after a week of being late and still these pains i done a test and found out i was.. Also a colleague at work has just said she is pregnant but is getting pains that she is going to come on. So id definatly keep checking. Good luck and anyone know why you get these pains is it your womb expanding?
Yes get a GP check as soon as possible. Not every home test is accurate, especially if everything is not in the right place. An amnoicentis test done quickly can show what's happening. If you are preggers better you know wht's up right away - you are obviously worrying about it - anybody would. The worry just makes everything worse. I can't say about the pap test but definitely tell the nurse about your fears.

Well thanks for all the advice. I went and had a pap done the other day and addressesd all of my concerns. They were very helpful. However, in the middle of the exam began bleeding, and thought I started so I opted no for the preg test, well turns out that after the exam, I stopped bleeding and haven't again since. I am going to tak a test here again shortly, it's been a few days since, so hopefully, I'll find out really soon.
