Where can i find out about wireless emergency alerting systems.

I have a relative with a heart condition who lives on her own. She needs to be able to press a button which will call an emergency number for help.

Lots of companies round UK offer these systems. Your local social services will also have details that they can pass on.

My mum has one of these - they give you a lot of peace of mind. As phl666 says, social services or often the local Council's website is a good place to start. They come under different headings such as 'community alarm' or 'promoting independence' so you may need to search a bit. We have to pay about 30 a month, but again I'm sure that varies greatly between areas. Good luck!
Sorry, I meant 'As nickmo says..............'

Careline or the equivilent through your local council Social Services. It will be a red pull cord and or a pendant to wear and the press/pull and are immediately in touch with someone and they can contact relatives/emergency services etc and even have keyholders if relatives are not available
