I have been prescribed 60 mg daily Prednisolone, and the heart palpitations are very troublesome.

Blood pressure still within normal range, but heart races and pounds making me very shaky and tired.

Does anyone else have experience of this, please, and if so how did you deal with it?

Check the side effects. If they continue and troublesome, contact gp.

Thanks Anne, the experience of palpitations is actually listed as one of the side effects, and it is claimed, not harmful.

But the periods of fast heart rate are troubling and uncomfortable and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to get through the episodes when they occur.

Not personal experiences but here is my take on this.

Tachycardia (fast heart rate) is uncommon following prednisilone but nobody knowa why it occurs.

60 mgms is a fair "whack"........contact your GP as the dose may have to be reduced.

Not dangerous for you at the moment.

Good old Sqad, ever helpful, always reliable, Kudos.

60 mg. is a lot as S points out .
