Call back from trainee GP never materialised so I’ve rang my health centre, I’m very much against having to discuss my problem with a receptionist which is the way it is now, my BP isn’t coming down as much as I’d like it to although I’m writing the readings down that I take twice a day, I’m now waiting of my ‘call back’ I’ll let you know

The receptionist tried turning it round by saying ‘Are you sure YOU didn’t have to call ? I referred to a piece of paper he printed off circling ‘call back’ bloods and ECG in that order
LOL.....
I'm not expected to tell all to the receptionist, just a 'discussion about meds', 'worried about leg' etc and I don't mind that, the practitioner can read up before phoning me.

Hi Sqad, eventually got a call back from practice, going in for bloods on the 31st although he’s happy my BP is coming down , I told him I’m changing my lifestyle and losing weight which he was very happy about so I’ll add to this when I get more info
Thank you sqad

Roo, it’s my pet hate when the receptionist asks ‘What’s the problem ?
When you make an appointment on line and that seems to be the norm these days they have to ask/ fill in the box/comments of what the problem is, if you don't the doctor can't decide if an appointment is needed.
Is that not what they have a receptionist for apart from many other tasks. They are really only wanting basic info to leave the doctor free to see people.
Thanks bobbi..........still early days ;-)

Pimplyteen , I could go online at one time and secure an appointment, not anymore, if this is progress? Ooops I’ll be getting called old again ( which I am)

It can take quite a while to get your BP down Bobbi. As long as it is going down that's what counts, in my world anyway.

Swap red wine for beetroot juice, Bobbi. Don't leave a glass where your red wine loving, beetroot juice hating husband will knock it back though.
