"In terms of safety, the most common side effects reported during treatment and up to 34 days after the last dose of Paxlovid were dysgeusia (taste disturbance), diarrhoea and vomiting."

Surely it's covid that knackers your taste.

Oddly I didn't notice a problem when I had covid, but months later my taste and smell are disrupted. Perhaps it was suppressed, but as it returns I find the smell and taste of coffee unbearable.

Think it's more the medication. I've now stopped the Paxlovid as I've done 3 negative lateral tests and the NHS Covid help line says I can come out of isolation. Think I had Covid for a couple of weeks thinking it was flu ( yes, men get flu ) and two really mean days, then it rapidly subsided. The Paxlovid even in four days had unwanted side effects so I wish I'd left it alone.
