In Northants. Haven't seen any lightening yet. The rain is stopping and starting, much needed. Still very warm though.

Nothing here as yet (Lancs) sky and atmosphere very heavy though.
mowed three quarters of the lawn and then the heavens opened. The rest will have to wait.

It's been horrible here. Being so landlocked we don't get much breeze.
East Sussex - had a storm yesterday afternoon, didn't last long enough to make it cooler. All day today, not a cloud in sight & barely a whiff of breeze. The thermometer on my hall wall says 30, I've a fan going so I can breathe more easily. I hate this weather.
At the moment still very warm, quite overpowering. We are due some rain but I don't know if it's in the next couple of days. I hope so.

I don't like it either unless I'm near the sea and have access to a pool....in a nice hotel :-)
West yorkhire, proves to me the weather folk are liars.... hot, hot, hot, dry, dry, dry. not a raindrop has fallen for days.
No thunder here SW as yet. Still very muggy, although there was a slight breeze today.

My cat got a little bit scared. He's a weirdo. Not scared of dogs but is afraid of the hoover and thunder :-) Oh....he also hates kittens.
The only prediction here is for endless sun. No rain until late Friday into Saturday.

Just checked the BBC. We have weather warnings from the Met Office. Warnings of floods.
Nothing here ( West Mids ) 27 degrees and very humid, phone say's potential disruption due to thunder storms though !
Typical Midlander steaing our thunder.
*Stealing, mind you I've just spotted a cloud.

It's stopped now and has gone back to humid.

I'm fed up of drinking (soft drinks, not alcohol) but I know how quickly we dehydrate in this sweaty weather.

ArksidedTypical Midlander steaing our thunder.

Oi matey, West Midlander if you please ;-)
Beautiful warm evening, clear skies
Clear skies and hot still in Birmingham
We had rumblings of thunder from about 2pm. About 3.30pm we had the full on lightning and thunder and huge hailstones. Then the sun came out. Then it repeated about 6.30. Now very humid.

The cat eventually came home about 8 (having been awol since 9.30am), wet through, face bleeding, covered in goose grass and stinking of cat pee. I think he may have picked on a cat bigger and nastier than he is.
Lovely cool breeze here now, after a bit of thunder and rain.
