swapping my bike for a bentley would be a bit of a giveaway

no i wouldn't, though i would like to think i would keep in with friends and family, our relationship wouldn't change. It depends on how much as well, if i won the euro millions jackpot then one could treat the whole family, that would be wonderful.
No, I wouldn't. Jealousy and greed are horrid things to cope with and a sudden change of wealth can skew long standing friendships.
I've managed to keep it quiet so far.
I think wearing new socks every day would give it away, Barry.
Have you got a fetish, Zacs? Do you clock other peoples socks?
You started it!
No.

I’ve a rep for wearing my heart on my sleeve so I’d have a fab time writing cheques out for friends and family and animal charities till it was all gone
I would buy the wife a house
No, I wouldn't broadcast it.

Broadcast it and the scroungers will come come crawling out of the woodwork.
That makes me sound mean, I'm not, but my granddad was very wealthy, people would 'borrow' money off him and we wouldn't see them again. So not only did he lose the money he gave them he also lost their custom.....his living, which made him wealthy enough to give them money in the first place.
While wishing to remain anonymous, I would sort my 4 children out and it may be any one of them who let slip the source of their new found wealth. That plus a sudden influx of racehorses racing in my colours :-)
I would tell anyone except family either. I know someone who won many years ago and they say it was a lonely time as their friends couldn't keep up with all the holidays & partying unless they paid.
Ken - my kids think we are rich anyway so a lump sum wouldn't be a shock to them.

We just lie to them :-)
Don't think I'd do much different - not into buying stuff I don't need. Probably give it all away to family & friends.
A million isn't so much these days
No but if I'd won a few 100m, how would I explain it to relatives and friends when I started to hand out large sums of cash.
Tiggs - you don't hand out large sums. Handover realistic amounts and learn how to lie.
I am a millionaire. A million is not enough to do anything special.

If I was a multimillionaire I would not broadcast it.
