I am finally having to get a printer but I do only want to print very little ie receipts, some documentation.

I have looked at Argos and there is one for £40 which is ok. However I don't know what wireless means.

Would this be difficult to set up.

not diffcult, but chris is the resident expert, perhaps he can explain better than i, get a copy, scanner, and wireless printer.
Canon are a good make if its any help, mine was about 50 quid.
Wireless means once you have plugged the Printer into the mains, then you can print from your PC, Laptop, tablet, smart phone without wire connection.....wire less.
Itshoul be quite easy to set up.

be warned the inks are what costs the most, it should come with inks already installed but replacements can be dear.
Morning jj wireless just means you don't have to connect the printer to your computer with a cable. They are easy enough to set up, they almost do it themselves.
Wireless means you don't need to cable it up to your computer. Very useful, and just about how all printers are set up now.

If you are only using it occasionally you probably don't need to worry about a cheap printer that might use expensive cartridges!
It "should" be easy to set up. The last one I bought was a piece of cake. The previous one drove me to distraction trying to connect it to the wifi.

I basically only want to print very little, I am still on the old fashioned computer with keyboard and big massive box (hard drive).

I have an Epson and it has served me well but I really don't want faff of technology with a printer

This printer I have has a cable which goes into back of hard drive.
my Canon is a piece of cake as opposed to the HP printer i had before, don't buy HP.

I don't want the hassle of connecting to wifi but cable would suit me.
with wifi you don't need cables.

How does the printer connect
Via your wifi (wireless network). Of course you need a wireless network to start with, but I am sure you already have that.
come on chris, he is good at the finer details...
Some printers these days don't come with cables, so if you were really determined to go that route make sure this one does.

chris will be in his beddy byes.

Do I just need to take the printer out of the box and put the password of my wifi in or whatever.
much easier without cables to be fair.

I can't tell from that whether there is a cable inclued: it would use a USB lead, and those are easy enough to get hold of.
However, I'd recommend following the instructions to connect it to your network.
be careful if you only want to print very little. The heads on the ink cartridges will dry up and you will have to head clean every time you want to print something. You might prefer to save stuff to your tablet or computer if its just for your records.
