For the past few days I have had a sore arm where I had the jab 2 weeks ago. I can't believe it's down to the jab but I can't think of any other reason for it. Anyone else similarly affected?

I got this after my flu vac last year, no heat or redness but an occasional twinge. I reckon the injector hit a nerve.
yes i have same. two weeks ago i had my vaccination and that place still is a bit sore.
Mrs sqad had exactly the same as the OPer.........it's not that uncommon.
I had a sore arm that started a few hours after the jab and lasted a couple of days. Just over a week later it started to feel sore again.
No sore arm but a helluva cold, any connection? Nah,just a coincidence,
Arm still sore after a week, a bit longer than flu jab, but getting better
well I suppose it could be
it is unlikely - 14 is long enough for eveything to pass

The vacca has to be in the muscle. The muscle takes up ( only described recently: muscles are meant to take up only fat and glucose) the mRNA but this is broken down inside the muscle within 6 h

Never mind: the mRNA codes for the spike protein and the muscle cell starts churning it out. ( unheard of a few years ago). as in lots

this is packaged up and secreted into the blood - completely unsuspected a few years ago. I cant remember how ong for - not more than 7 d

the protein is foreign and identified as such and there is an antibody reaction in the spleen and lymph nodes

and so boys and girls - you can see on this model there is not much reason for the arm to hurt

but that of course ( rule 1: listen to the patient) does NOT mean there is no pain in the poster's arm

because something happened after X does NOT mean that it happened because of X

post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy

[but if the something happened and then X was given - it is imposs for X to cause it]
I reckon my suggestion is more likely? That the injector hit a nerve.
oh and correlation does not imply causation (if B follows A then A did not necessarily cause B)
yeah which one tho' ?

I had to take one anat exam THREE times, and only passed when I had copied out ( 6 h a day for 14 d) Lumley Crumley - which I know REALLY well ! Deltoid injections DO give deltoid atrophy but this is not that.
yeah and if A and B are completely random unrelated then plotting A+B against A-B will give a very strong correlation

the statistical error of burbled sproingy or something
How about this? Arm sore after injection so while it is sore you protect it by not using it so much then when you try to use it normally it feels a bit different as it has stiffened up slightly. A bit like getting stiff if you exercise after a break.
yup
this is the morning for ideas
Exactly the same here, had mine 2 weeks ago yesterday. It didn't hurt at the time, but 12 hours later it did. Still tender to the touch now, or if I lay on it in bed.
What a lot of inconsequential twaddle.........as usual.
christ how do you get your arm to come off?

sozza read it as - if I lay it on the bed..... bad sight day
sqad - "making a song and dance" - official
come on sqad - first year clinical
if the patient says they are in pain then they are in pain
and it is never right to say - "shut up - no you arent!"
this is not stiffness, its more like getting poked with a pencil. moderate pain over a very small area
