Am really struggling now - yes I know he can’t help it, but it’s getting worse and worse, it’s absolutely deafening. How he doesn’t wake himself up I do not know! and I’m sick of having to go into the spare room for some relief. Not even sure why I’m posting this as there isn’t really an answer, just to offload really x

Ohhhh I didn’t realise. Sorry xx
My OH only snores when he falls asleep on the sofa.

If he snores in bed (rare) I kick him.
:o) Not something I generally talk about on here. But it's good to raise awareness of a condition which isn't really known about by most.

Apc you can always talk on here x

Ummmm I can imagine you doing that lol
I don't kick him hard :-D

Good girl lol!
I swear that my husband has a tilt switch - as soon as he lies down he's asleep. he's also sometimes a snorer, but can be persuaded to turn over and thus stop it
My ex snored, boy how she snored and she was a lightweight. More meat on a butcher's pencil. It got so bad that when the snoring briefly ceased, i had to check she was still alive.
Hands up, i also snored quite loudly but only after a few gallons of John Smith's Smooth :-)
I do. My elderly cavalier snores like a train. But I can sleep though it. My ex was worse, not for snoring, but really restless and moving around quite violently, before I had even got to sleep.
I advise... the single life:-)
Mine does occasionally, I'll stand so much, then he gets a push or dig in his back! That usually does it for 2 minutes!

Ken that made me laugh lol.
You get to be woken up by a snorer? I'd give worlds to have to suffer that indignity...
14.40 how do you drink that pish? Now j.smiths magnet on draught is far better imho.
Tim Taylor's Landlord's Bitter!
In answer to the OP "who sleeps with a snorer?"...very few - most are wide awake!
my oh half snores, couldn't take it anymore as you know, it starts like
i can do this ie pillow over my head, but found it gave the snore a vibration the the pillow really! at times you get so mad thinking bloody hell if you could hear yourself aka conversations with yourself, then use your the heel of your foot to pound the bed with it to wake them up..then it stops...erm for a bit, you think if i can fall asleep in time, ill be fine...then it gets louder.. ENOUGH, i sleep in spare room now...for years and it's great.
i have in the past, its a nightmare - have terrible insomnia anyway and it drove me mad. he was easy to stop, but he would start again a little while later, he was thin.
i was at a comicon with some friends and i shared a room with one who snored, probably the worst ive ever heard, and after a few hours i said, 'roll over' - as thats what worked on my bf.
I didnt shout, just normal speech volume, as the idea is not to wake them up, just sort of 'rouse' them enough to turn over.
next morning she'd told everyone i SCREEEEAAAMED my head off at her ...
the general attitude of most of them was that as people cant help snoring, you have no right to wake them up to stop them, or ask them to roll over or anything.
i was so tired i almost didnt go to see Brian Blessed!
They were surprised when i said no to going the next year unless i had my own room haha.

most people eventually manage get to sleep with a snorer - i dont, i can hardly sleep even when im alone so theres no way id sleep properly, no matter how tired i was.
3 days & 2 nights of it, i felt like death on a plate.
I've learned to sleep with OH (snorer and he also stops breathing so I have to jab him in the ribs to get him going again - I do this once I have had 3 steady breaths myself). It helps that I, apparently, snore when going to sleep and then stop, but he is deaf enough not to hear me. No, there isn't an answer, wish there were.
