Do you remember being a little girl or boy, full of energy, joy and zest? Are you like that now? What happened to change you? (if you did change).

Andy H,
Just want to thank you for been so candid!
We've all got a back story. We all arnt so forthcoming.
Atheist - // AH; not meant to be taken literally; one can speak about god in the Einsteinian sense i.e. 'God doesn't play dice...' //

Thanks for clarifying.
//Pixie; why do you not want to lie on the floor to play with your granddaughter?//

I do. But I am starting to think twice when I get back up now. She does it much faster than me :-).

My parents got divorced when I was 7, and I got a great stepdad, but gradually lost touch with my dad, who.i adored. I guess nothing is simple, even for children.

No problem at all - if it catches me in the right frame of mind, I can give chapter and verse, but that would take all night!!
Nooòoo! Not far enough north. I wish...it was something that fascinated me as a child. Icey maple syrup straight out of the tree. Bliss.
Well now, Atheist! That sound intriguing. Hope it comes to fruition for you...and for me as I want to read it! :-)
Question Author
pasta... is that where it comes from? way up north? I never knew it was icy, it sounds so sweet and syrupy and warm. My pal Mike Absalom talked about maple syrup in his childhood; wish I'd pumped him a bit more about it.

Gness, the first novel is too rude to share and the second is too much of a beginner's effort to share (and isn't finished). The first is on Amazon, but you'd need to know the title! :-)
'ormones, Atheist, them blessed 'ormones...root to many an evil, they be...
Atheist...I live with Dave...I can now do rude! ;-)

The second is too much of a beginner's effort to be shared? Hmmm....how many beginners have had a big hit? JKRowling maybe.

The first is on Amazon but you need to know the title!!!! You are a tease, Atheist! I shall be wondering now! :-(
Question Author
DTC; I don't recognise the reference. I'm not well read.
the maple sap comes out of the tree like water and its boiled to reduce it to syrup. https://www.maplesource.com/how-pure-maple-syrup-is-made/
//Are you like that now? What happened to change you? //
I got fiddled with as a kid by a school teacher.
unpalatable truth that will probably get deleted..
Question Author
Gness. Most beginners are not good. Most wannabe pop stars are not good. Most crank diet or 'toxin' people aren't any good.
If you found my first effort we would no longer be friends. My second has to be good, that's why I've been working on it for two years (I'm learning my trade at a late age.)
Here you are Atheist...first you need your maple tree. Oh...and it helps to live in Vermont;)

But *** it,
jesus loves me...
I had maple trees in Vermont, and an evaporator, 40 litres of icy maple sugar tapped off a tree(s) to make 1 litre of delish concentrate - can't beat it straight out of the shack....
Question Author
Nailit; in what way did your childhood experience affect you? I have a few memories of slightly weird grown-ups, but that was just part of life, and certainly wasn't traumatic as there was no violence or even graphic interference.
Okay, Athiest....some beginners are good but if you think not then I will wait but please remember....I'm getting on in years!!!!
Are you not going to give us the title, atheist?
