We were always been told that brown bread is far better for you than white bread I've noticed myself gaining a lot of weight recently around my belly area this is probably due to eating around 6 rounds of white bread per day so I have now went on to wholemeal bread so I googled wholemeal bread yesterday and found it had 67 calories per slice whilst white bread had only 32 calories per slice

so which is the healthiest bread I need to lose weight I'm trying to stop also potatoes trying to stick to Rice but I absolutely hate brown rice.

Theres an easy way to lose weight - eat less, exercise more!
Have you read the answers, roopower? He has an eating disorder.
Unfortunately we all got distracted by the bread. I hope pumpjack has taken any advice on board.
If you are putting on weight around your middle, the chances are you are eating too much sugar and carbs. I don’t think it makes any difference whether bread is white or wholemeal regarding calories.

Wholemeal is supposedly better for you because it is less processed. But the carb is a carb. Try and find ways to avoid bread in the first place. I’ve recently done this – I have some kind of protein and salad for lunch, and meat and vegetables for dinner. I’ve cut out bread, pasta, rice, potatoes and lost around three stone fairly easily.
Scarlett, the OP has bigger problems than losing weight. Read the thread
I've just read it. You are absolutely right, woof. PJ, the last thing you need to be concerned with, is "calories". And fewer, does not mean "healthier"- you wouldn't live on water alone.
You are getting rid of all the good things.... vitamins, protein etc etc, along with everything you see as "bad".
A counsellor is the best option here- it's your mindset, not your weight, that is causing the problems.
