I've woken up again feeling dizzy and this time retching. Had a bit of diarrhoea as well. This is how I felt last Wednesday but it seem worse today. I've been feeling OK-ish the last few days but its come back.

I can't eat anything and just drinking water. Don't know whether to take paracetamol or not.

I'm surprised I'm able to look at a screen and type tbh...the nausea comes and goes in waves. Do I call 111?

In your shoes I'd be tempted to give it 24 hours, maybe 48, see if I went back to "ok-ish". Is it something you were eating or drinking ? Take whatever gives you any relief. But do as you feel re 111.
Do you know of anything underlying already tiggs? Ear infections, eyesight problems can give a seasickness effect, blood pressure, diabetes etc. If it has been constant since last Wednesday, it may be worth a call...
Yes, ring 111.x
I'd be giving 111 a ring, that's what they're there for, though they may be busier than usual.

I got through to lovely lady who went through everything with me and said to either go to hospital or wait for a GP to call . I said I'd much rather the GP call me so she is arranging this for me now.

In the meantime my mum is bring me some ginger and will post through letter box. I've told her not to bring my dad and to clean keys, car door handle and steering wheel then wash hands before touching anything.
Question Author
I waited around 40 mins to get through which was very good given the circumstances.
yes, I expect their phones are ringing off the hook, if they have hooks these days. Good luck!
Question Author
The wait time online said 1 hour so I was amazed I got through so quickly. Fantastic service :o)
I can’t believe they advised going to hospital before you had spoken to a dr . ?
Question Author
She gave me the option of going to my nearest primary health service meaning nearest hospital, or getting a GP to call me. Must admit, I was a bit surprised she said to go to hospital as well, Anne, given the warning to everyone not to go out.
Is your child unwell? Have you started any new medication recently .? Is your temperature elevated ?
Question Author
None of the above, Anne. I'm not on any medication and Little Tiggs is well :o)
Keep drinking tiggs. It’s an anxious time for all of us . You could document your dates of illness and symptoms to tell the dr. Often we forget information when we get ‘ on the phone ‘ . Hope you feel better soon .
Just shows what scary times we are going through, under normal circumstances it would probably be suggested that you have a dose of norovirus (or similar), the symptoms are as you describe. I know that's about because work colleagues have been off with it. Hope you get some reassurance and feel better soon.

I've perked up a bit now. There is still a some dizziness when I get up and walk but I feel able to eat something. Trying to drink s much water as possible.

And yes, I have been feeling anxious as I'm sure we all are at the moment. It probably is a case of mild norovirus, Prudie.

Thank you all for your responses :o)

I feel a lot better now apart from a little dizzy when I get up or move my head round.
