Well done you! I'm still multi-tasking - and that includes popping in and out of here. :o)
A bit early to put the turkey in the oven isn't it ?
^True. Why is the turkey in the oven now, bobbi?
just got to get the vacuum out and put out nibbles tomorrow for when guests arrive at 12.00
I've been so behind this year and really trying to get christmassy lol.
But we had some great news, as we have a gentleman with hip problems who has been stuck upstairs for several months. They paid for a stairlift to be done by Christmas, so he could get downstairs and see his family more easily (leaving out the fire risks of being stuck upstairs). They were let down twice recently, but I went in today, and the stair lift is being put in right now.
So pleased for him and his wife, I can see how quietly thrilled they are :-)
Also my son has come down from Wales :-). We will be doing breakfast and dog walk and then at my mum's for late lunch. We have a few calls to do in between as well. And my granddaughter will be 4 tomorrow, so we have had an early birthday party for her, but she will get some more presents in the afternoon too.
I feel worn out just reading that,Bobbie!
Well done though..x
I heard someone in Sainsbury's say "Christmas isn't all about cheese you know"

Of course they were totally incorrect.
Will you all stop being so *****y cheerful please. I've got a headache, every wound on my body is hurting, meds taking too long to work, haven't washed up since yesterday and son arriving for a visit any moment and me and my home are in a mess. Happy Flippin' Christmas Mwah!
Don't dream of lifting a finger LB , no one will expect you to be on top form and someone will do the washing up.x
LB, you should be taking it easy now, i hope that
you feel better very soon... take care.
LB. take your medication before you get pain. Take it on a regular basis. Don’t miss dosages. You may think you are just fine, but you have had major surgery. Cancel Xmas this this year. You must allow people to *do* the housework/ cooking. Rest eat well, stay hydrated. Don’t walk before you can run .

I always do it around now, cook it slowly ,OH likes to use the electric slicer on it and that’s best done cold, we also have a brace of pheasant and beef, I’ll do the beef in the morning but not the pheasant ( bleughhhh)
Aww LB and our lovely accident prone Mally , I hope your injuries allow you to enjoy the festivities x

Sorry LB , post op I meant to squeeze in x
spatty @12:10....I thought it was ALL about the Baby Cheesus.
Thank you all.
Anne I had only 2 hours sleep on Sunday night hence last night I was so tired I went to bed early for me about 10.30 after taking my medication. Didn't wake up properly until 10am this morning, in pain of course, and took medication at about 10.30. So of course the gap between my meds was too long but I couldn't help it. I shan't let it happen again. Thank you for the advice.
pheasants are nice providing you don't crunch on any shot, looking forward to getting some trapped wild rabbits in the new year from local gamekeeper and some goat which makes wonderful curry.
