9 times out of 10, I am brilliant at this. I can get about 5 ounces of each breast (my baby is 11 weeks old). However, sometimes I just cant do it at all even thought i can feeel my boobs are full. I think this may occur when i ghave worried about not being able to get any off, have been to a couple of gigs and my expressing sessions the night before have been disaterous, thank god i have had plenty in the freezer. Has anyone else had a problem with their nerves getting in the way of expressing? Any tips for overcoming this?My mum is a midwife so i am well aware of the practical side.

lol i know exactly what you mean i remember having this problem sometimes i found if you done it whilst feeding your baby from the other side you were perfectly relaxed and it flowed free.

I managed to express about half a ml of milk and chucked the breast pump to the back of the cupboard. Manual was no better. I just used the old baps when required.

Cut yourself some slack - you've lasted 11 weeks and you're managing to do it evenly as well.

Why not give your baby a bottle every now and then if things don't work out? No one will clap you in jail, or though they might give you the impression that is where you belong.
