If something on a post is reported,
Then the post is deemed cannot be retrieved
Does the reported post still receive attention?
Or is it conveniently dead and gone?
Reading this back hurts my brain.

Getting the thread back on track rather than folk slinging sh... I mean mud at each other... //The Ed won't reply to it, jordy// This, to me, is the problem. If there was just a line from the Ed or a mod, to explain why a thread has been deleted, even if it is a replication on the mod to Ed reason for deletion note, then it would end a loot the confusion and unhappiness....

By who ?
Question Author
Whoever Danny Ed’s or moderators
God almighty, get a life!
If a post or a thread is reported then the ED/Spare ED will read the report and the reported item and take the appropriate action.

It will still be on the system somewhere I'm sure.

I don't think the MODs can see any reports.
I may be wrong but, maybe jordy means, if a thread is removed, does Ed read the thread to assess if right decision was made ?
I would say so. Sometimes it's easier to remove a thread than individual answers (a MOD said that, I just remembered it)

Exactly what I am getting at anneasquith,
So can it classed as,
Cannot be retrieved before the ed reads it?
And they remove them accidentally.
Why does it matter? It just doesn't seem important to a non-mod.
Jordy, Th Ed reads all removed posts.
Have you had any threads removed, Mozz?
i hope this one isn't removed just to wind jordy up ...
The post will show 'cannot be retrieved' as soon as it is removed, but if he so wishes the Ed can re-instate it. I hope this has answered all your points.
Danny, I think that was jordy question . ( I may be wrong though ) .
Nope Spice. I've contributed to a thread which was subsequently removed, but not been an OP of one.

I remember the accidentally cancelled one that was ressurected by the Ed, so they must have access.
Spice - I think they have closed them accidently, not removed them.
Maybe, ummmm, can't remember now. Either way it dispels the, oft repeated, myth that the ED checks reports/decisions.
They are often reopened though.
