Weak. Lack Of Oxygen?

Bronchial cough for 2 months, starting to go off, but means shallow breathing. CAN’T breathe properly, makes me cough, so I breathe shallowly.

Could this cause enough oxygen deprivation to make me feel weak, particularly in the arms and shoulders?

Or is it just another old age joy?

It does take it out of you bainbrig. Best see your GP for check up to be on safe side.
Anaemia is common with respiratory infections and that can cause weakness.
That's not really a sign of hypoxia (lack of oxygen)
More likely you are using your shoulder muscles when you find it hard to breathe and they are aching from the effort. Sounds like you need to see your doctor sooner rather than Later. Try to take deep breaths when you can, you really need to expand yoUr Lungs and cough up any secretions that gather further down.
Have you tried breathing into your diaphragm, rather that moving your chest?

It could....but so could the majority of answers above and indeed a combination of all of them.

I would suggest that you see your GP re. exclusion of anaemic factors.

Best i can do.

Thanks all. I do try and breathe properly, but currently any air across the back of my throat brings on coughing, which then won’t stop.
