He's not too good, Minty. He died 4 years ago ;-) Did you mean my mum who has survived him?

If so, she's just had another 'all clear' from her cancer (4 years in remission now!) on Saturday so she's looking forward to Christmas.

I hope the issues with your family have improved and you can have a peaceful Christmas.

Many thanks for asking, you're very kind.

BTW, I was in Edinburgh last Friday night for my office Chrimbo bash and we had a great time!

oh dear sorry Zacs hope I have not upset you any...very sad to lose a parent..hope mum is getting by..you naughty boy ..coming to Edinburgh without me having a meet and greet !! strange how things just pop in your head.....but dad came to mind....weird ?
You've not upset me in any way, Minty. No need to be sorry.

I probably wasn't at my best on Friday. I did manage to go on that chair-o-plane ride thingy next to the Scott monument. V scary but fun.

never a sad time to remember the dead ....

the flu stuff going around makes one feel *** by day and some strange dreams by night - I had a conversation with a spirit child chained to a hospital trolley

Sorry, but couldn't help laughing out loud at that (your post that is, not that your dad died 4 yrs ago)
My mum was given her 5yr all clear from breast cancer last year.
All the best for your mums continued good health Zacs.
Thanks, Nailit. It made me chuckle too actually and the words you quote were meant to be taken in the way you did. Pleased for your mum (and you) and thanks for your good wishes.
:-)
Has minty been on the sherry?
She's rarely off it to be honest, BB.

;-)

Peter - where was your Dad a P.O.W?
Mine was a prisoner on the Burma Railway.
Genuinely interested.
Definition of.....A Narrow Escape?

Telling Minty you have been in Edinburgh rather than letting slip that you're coming to Edinburgh....... ;-)

Four years in remission, Zacs....Lovely and that sounds good! Hope she and you have a lovely Christmas......x
I'm sure Minty is perfectly lovely. And when she isn't she's even better. ;-)

thanks for the good wishes, Gness.
She is, Zacs......she's really good fun and great company for a night in a hotel.....but she does get up bloody early!!!!!
