Has anyone tried this for pain relief? I saw it in Holland and Barret yesterday, I thought cannabis was illegal. But my oh has had stomach pain for years and no cause for it has ever been found. wonder if its worth a try. He's getting on in years and few years without pain would be good.

I have heard excellent things about it and actually bought some for my dog, but the smell is truly appalling and I am told that the taste is too
Can I ask what your husband has tried for his stomach pain and if he has any other symptoms? has he tried treatments for IBS?
Question Author
Yes wolfgang. He's had everything over the years including scans, ultra sounds, camera up, diets. nothing helped.
Question Author
Sorry, and no other symptoms.
well I thought it was worth an ask....I know people who have used it on themselves and on animals and had good results but as I said, it reeks.
So it is a pain relief?? And has to be taken orally?
sharon it is SAID to work for all kinds of things......I have known people to use it (and for it to work) for anxiety and chronic pain in humans and anxiety, chronic pain and fear reactions in dogs. Yes you need to take it orally.
I might get some and rejuvenate myself!!
But is it legal to take? Suppose it must be if you can get it in H&B.

Was wondering about driving though, could you be prosecuted for driving with cannabis in your system?
CBD oil is legal, one of the problems is that the retailers can't make specific claims for what its benefits are because of red tape.
Thanks Mamy, might try it then, just worried about it being in my system as I have to drive a lot, I'm supposing the amount would be too low to make a difference?
I don't drive, so it's not something I know about - worth researching a bit more before you buy I think.
Yes, and thanks for the link, very interesting.
Glad to help, I too am considering this instead of other routes for pain etc.

Humph ! Typical internet. Apparently all forms of cannabis are illegal; yet at the same time some are available for medical prescription. No, that's not contradictory at all. (No I didn't bother actually going to the links, the Google synopses were enough.)
CBD has been proven to be an anti-inflammatory which can help a number of issues in the body.

It is also an anti psychotic and an anti anxiety

The issue with CBD is it has a bell curve chart for effectiveness. If used solo (cbd) without THC (the 'high' in cannabis') the body can get very use to it. Also, certain % is needed to have good effects.. I think it's around 30%

CBD is also very expensive due to it being a lengthy process to extract from the hemp / cannabis plant.

Holland and Barrents jumped on this band waggon and started becoming "one of" the first UK companies to promote cannabis oil. However they are cons and should not be trusted. You pay around £30 for 5% CBD which is appalling in a 30ml bottle.

There are far better ways to get CBD and from trusted companies also.

You can buy a whole gram of pure CBD isolate for £30... so 5% of 30cl is literally barmy.

The best way to get as much as the CBD as possible is to vape it... Eating the CBD only gives you 60 ish % ...

however you probably don't want to vape it.

A company i really really recomend is either :

CBD brothers (UK, they also give out free samples for those in need, but you need to catch them at the right time of the month)

CBDistillery (cali company)

CBDstillery has the exsperience, funds, and "audience" large enough to really be going places in development of the product and understanding what/how/where it helps.

I would recommend trying this oil at first.. Then going from there.

This is a website i have used a number of times for friends and family and is 100% trust worthy and reliable.. they also have excellent customer service and will be happy to have a consultation:

Do NOT go to Holland and Barrets. Scam.
"it reeks"

The smell is subjective ;)

If you like the smell of herbs and natural oils etc.. then it's fine

Woof and sharon.. The most visible case of it working is here:

"Was wondering about driving though, could you be prosecuted for driving with cannabis in your system?"

Cannabis/hemp is legal.. It is Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is illegal. Tetrahydrocannabinol is the psychoactive chemical or 'hallucinogenic' or 'high' in cannabis. This is illegal.

CBD is legal. It is the medicinal side of cannabis / hemp.
"just worried about it being in my system as I have to drive a lot"

you will not feel the effects of CBD in your system.. It would also not make you fail a drugs test.
