Anyone been for professional tooth-whitening, laser or gel? If so, any good?

Had great results with gel tooth whitening a few years ago.
I used the gel a couple of months ago. I had a plastic mould made at my dentists and had to squeeze the gel into it and wear it for an hour each evening. It did remove some stain I had , and probably made my teeth one shade lighter, hard to tell really, but was glad the stains went. The gel did make some of my teeth very sensitive, which has improved now , and the mould was uncomfortable to wear and gave me a couple of blisters. I was told laser treatment at my age , 64, could make my teeth even more sensitive, so I gave that a miss. I suppose it depends what your expectations are.
If you do decide to go for it, do check here that the person doing it is registered with the General Dental Council:

There are lots of unqualified people illegally operating teeth-whitening services. e.g. in Sheffield, three years ago

and in the same city just recently
