I had a back molar removed last Wednesday, since then I've had pain like the toothache before it was removed, earache and a slight sore throat, should it have settled by now

I will ring in the morning, didn't think I should still be in pain after nearly a week, thank you.
Providing there is no swelling in the face or increase in temperature, then it is no big deal and should settle with mouthwashes (diflam) and analgesics (Ibuprofen)
I found that the best thing is hit your small finger hard with a hammer and it stops all the pain in you tooth -just trying to make you smile!
Google 'dry socket': one of the possible after effects after tooth removal.
I had the same problem after a molar removed, It was a difficult tooth to extract and I think that a lot of the pain was from the mouth being forced open for so long, possibly damaged muscle and surrounding tissue etc.

I was in a lot of pain for two weeks at least, I took codeine, paracetamol and ibuprofen in fairly large doses (and I should know better) but it kept the pain under control to a degree.

I hope the pain eases very soon.
I was thinking 'dry socket' too.
