I've been having nightly Night Sweats around my neck and shoulder areas, waking up with damp pyjamas top. Started over 2 months ago.

Could it be linked to a urine infection as I always have an urge to pee even after peeing, bladder never seems to fully empty if you know what I mean.

I'm a male in my 40s.

How unpleasant for you. See your GP asap for a check up. You could have a combination of problems but a prostate infection could be among them. Sqad will hopefully be along soon for a proper bit of advice.

Thanks Mosaic. I've been drinking cranberry juice for a few days to try and flush it out my system.
I hope it isn't prostate related as I don't fancy THAT examination by my GP.
I may need antibiotics.
You mean you wouldn't give the doctor the thumbs up?

You'll be OK, lie back and think of....anything but what the doc's going to do...
Soonest checked soonest mind at ease.
I agree with the advice of Mosaic........it certainly sounds like bladder problems secondary to an enlarged prostate.
Cranberry juice is a waste of time.

See your GP.
As my old family GP said of wintergreen ointment - might as well paint the expletive back door green

Thank you to Sqad, Mosaic & Mamyalynne.
I'll book an appointment for my GP first week in January.
Best to get it check out. Better safe than sorry approach.
Need to get that enlarged prostate reduced if that's the cause.
I'll ditch the cranberry juice also. Thanks folks. All the best for 2016.
If you like the cranberry, drink it

However, if your blood sugar is elevated drinking any fruit juice will make it worse.
Wanting to pee a lot might be a symptom of type 2 diabetes, but that's all for the doc to diagnose.

Type 2 diabetes, don't tell me that, that's the last thing I need. Crikey!!!
I'll not fret yet until I've seen my GP.
Roll on January.
Fanriffic, if it is prostate related get it sorted, it won't get better by itself. The inspection of the prostate is not in the least bit painful and you soon get used to probes and catheters..

Jomifl - I'm definitely going to my GP in January. What ever it takes to fix my ailments - I'm now more than willing to have any treatment and medicine required to help me get better. I need to get to the bottom of this.
Thanks for your kind feedback. Take care all.
the bottom of it indeed... anyway, I'm told that prostate examination is painless
/ I need to get to the bottom of this./
leave that to the urologist....
Several different health issues can cause night sweats, none particularly good. I would go get checked.
