I've tried it, it works.

Try maintaining a healthy diet as if you don't that can often be the root cause of constipation.

Are you registered with your local pharmacy for minor ailments? They can prescribe slightly more effective treatments that OTC remedies...might be worth asking about.
Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome:
Cramps; faintness; stomach discomfort.
Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue).
This is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur.
Eat a packet of dried soft apricots gordie, that'll do the trick.
I've tried them, + they work fine. No pain, cramps or any side-effects, in my experience.
Haven't tried Dulcolax but I find Lactalose helps with senakot.
Yes but Apricots are nicer to eat, especially the soft squishy ones;-))
a bowl of all bran works wonders and low carb too.
Prunes do the trick.
I've tried it and I was - let's say.... explosive! with not a lot of warning! so yes - it works!!!!
QuIt's strong, try prunes or grapes
Lactulose certainly helps but you also have to have a laxative too, senna or even syrup of figs if you can still get that.
A healthy diet, drink plenty water, and get walking.
Don't wander too far from home the next day
Buy some fresh beetroot .. That will make you Go .....
Or Lactulose .... And Fybogel is quite a mild laxative to try. Lemon flavour is nice.
Apricots could make you f@rt
Gordie despite good intentions of others her be very careful about overdoing dried apricots. As a diabetic you need to keep all sugars under control - dried fruit is full of sugars, the fact that they are 'fruit sugars' makes no difference.
