By eck Grandad Bob, you must have been awful young to have done National Service if you are 55 now, my ex husband is 55 and he only left school in 1965 and they had finished national service then.  Or is it different in sunny Blackburn?
sorry , not ignorin u or your q seal, I suggest you try to avoid it, it's not natural, stick to the gifts nature provided babe

I'm not a she ond. Can people just ignore the grandadbob post please. thanks
Well I've been taking 'e' s occasionally for the past ten years.  The dangers are over rated in my opinion.  taking drugs is no big deal, a hell of a lot more people take them than what you may think its just not a thing people admit. Yeah the day after you feel a bit rough but not as rough as how you feel after a night on the drink, but thats just me other people are different.
pretty high risk of dehydration. Not so much the ecstasy you have to worry about, more whatever else they've put in it! Crushed glass anyone?
One of the side effects is death.

As far as I aware,  no healthy adult has ever died as a direct result of taking an E.  People have died from dehydration after too much dancing,  which could indirectly be attritutable to the drug,  but there are many far more dangerous (and legal) drugs out there.  How many people die from lung cancer or liver failure every year again?  Which drugs are legal and which are illegal has nothing to do with the dangers involved,  it is largely down to historical accident.

Yes,  it is politically incorrect,  but as long as you know the risks and are sensible,  it is one of the safest drugs out there.  Seal,  you sound like a sensible lad who will weigh up the risks before truing it,  and I applaud you for having the balls to ask the question :o)

there was that woman - can't remember her name - but to counteract dehydration she drank too much water and in effect drowned. So don't overcompensate.
The problem eith E is that no-one knows what the long-term side effects are. Only advice I could give you if you do decide to try it is to take it with friends around who've done it before, and possibly just take 1/2 initially.
Noy gonna be hypocritical and say don't take drugs under any circumstances, but a friend of mine was rushed into hospital after taking ecstasy - and not the first time. Not necessarily the MDMA, could've been ketamine or rat poison or whatever else it was cut with.
drugs have different affects on differrent people, it can kill someone the first time they take it, it could kill you gradually after regular taking, or it could just not kill u at all.  whatever the outcome they certainly do NOT do u any good!!   ecstasy shrinks the brain and causing dehydration, but if u drink(anything) it will swell u brain leaving u with brain damage, or a new home - six feet under!
Ecstasy usually contains MDMA, a stimulant which will obviously speed up your metabolism. It puts a tremendous strain on the heart, liver and kidneys. There are approximately 10 deaths per year caused by it. Death is often caused by dehydration (not an indirect cause brassmonkey, a direct cause of taking the drug) but heart failure and stoke can also cause death. Those with high blood pressure or conditions like epilepsy are more at risk. In answer to brassmonkeys claims. It is not politically incorrect, it is illegal.Yes, there are more deaths each year from tobacco and alcohol. I'm sure if they were modern discoveries they would also be banned. Lastly, research would indicate that long term use possibly causes brain damage, although personally I think that anyone who swallows a pill not knowing the effect it is going to have on them, the dosage of the drug and what it has been cut with must already have something wrong with their brain anyway.

Another consideration is that you don't, and cannot know, that you are taking E. Preparation of these drugs is complex - and you don't know what other materials, contminants etc you are takeing. There was recently a four people in the states who instantly have full blowen parkinsens desease as a result of taking incorrectly prepared anphetamines. One of the victims was a young girl - 14-15 who took drugs for the first time. Now she is unable to move at all.

It is possible to take E or other drugs without a problem, but consider most of the problems may takers would consider serious would mean that they wont be posting here again.

Ecstasy usually contains MDMA? I though it WAS MDMA...

Tried a few in my life. Nice feeling when coming up.. then your memory goes. Then the FEAR afterwards. Just me I think. Used to get the FEAR big time. Then I started getting panic attacks so I stopped them. Simply put, they mess with your brain chemistry. Some people can handle this, and others can't.

Stick to beer I'd say. Wouldn't wish those panic attacks on anyone, and they can lead to other more serious mental illness.
My wonderful healthy handsome 27 year old brother-in-law died as a result of taking ecstasy.  The post mortem could find no other cause of death and he was found to have the smallest amount of MDMA in his bloodstream ever recorded.  Enough said.
iused to take it very regular bout 4-5 times a week.Apart from usual things drinkin water too much or too less. The come downs can be pretty crappy, dont forget what goes up must come down. The boyfriend i was with at time really made him paranoid and physchotic.
