Hi,

My best friend passed away two months ago, the night of his passing something very strange and quite unsettling occured in my house.

I had gone to bed as usual and was having difficulty in sleeping, I was awoken by the sound of one of my son's toy cars playing it's tunes..I thought that is strange why is he playing with his toy car this time of night..(3am) It then dawned on me that that the tunes where coming from the lounge downstairs.(our bedroom is on a balcony over the downstairs lounge, so if you look over the balcony, you look down into the lounge.)

..My dog who was on my bed was growling and seemed very unhappy, and would not get off the bed to go and investigate, I have to admit that I was so scared  that I couldn't get out of bed to look down into the lounge to see what was happening..The toy car carried on playing it's tune for no more than a couple of minutes then stopped, somehow I was expecting it to carry on playing but it didn't.

I was so scared by this that I couldn't sleep for the rest of that night, when hubby came home from his night duty in the morning, I told him what had happened and he said that it was probaly a loose connection into the batteries or wires in the toy car, he took the toy apart, and put it back together, and said that there was nothing wrong with it....

The toy car has never played it's tunes on it's own either before that night and has not since.I am still left wondering whether it was my best friend's spirit  who came into my house that night ..Or was it someone else's spirit. All I do know is that I did not imagine it, and I was awake and I live in a happy house..And I have never been so scared in all my life...Oh and there is just one more thing, when I went downstairs into the lounge in the morning the toy car was not in the same place where I had left it.

Thank you...Kind regards.AudiTT.xx.

oooh... that just gave me goosebumps! Animals are very perceptive to things like ghosts or energies (as I like prefer to call them) so there may well have been something... I don't think you need to worry though but it is a very strange coincidence! I would have been terrified to though! As interested as I am in things like that I am a real wimp!

It sounds like a coincidence to me, although I am open minded about such things. On holiday this year, my two nephews had plastic swords they were playing with, and one of them made sword-fight sounds. We left it on the mantlepiece over night, and it KEPT going off of it's own accord, even though nobody was touching it. (It is a movement sensory thing). I didn;t think for one minute that it was spooky, and still don't. It's a cheap, electronic child's toy, and will doubtless have some fault in it somewhere.

However, your friends death and the dog make me think a bit differently about your experience.Tell your husband to get a day job!!

Spooky, and I'm sure unnerving for you, but take comfort that it probably WAS your friend saying 'hello'. Nearly 5 years ago now a bloke I had known for nearly 20 years died suddenly. A week later I was down the pub with his friend. Obviously we were talking about the bloke who had died and the coming funeral. The friend went to the bar, leaving me sat at the table by myself, with my back to the wall, no-one on the table next to us when I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was really unnerving at the time, but I felt sure it was our friend come back to say 'hello' and (I don't know why, I just get this feeling), to ask me to keep an eye on his friend. We all used to go to watch football together and later that season I had a ticket for the FA Cup semi-final and the seat next to me was empty for the whole game (the rest of the stadium was full), and again I'm sure it was my friend watching the game!

Not felt his presence since then, maybe people who are recently deceased 'hang around' for a while before moving on.
I personally dont believe in anything like that, and would put it down to being a coincedence (dont think thats spelt right) But it did make me go all cold when I read your post, it is a bit spooky, try not to worry about it. If you are 100% certain that the toy moved in the night and nobody touched it, thats strange..
If all my best friend could muster to say goodbye if he had the capacity to interact with the physical world was playing with toy cars I would not be happy.

We should never be scared to investigate these things - fear restricts us. It could well be that your friend was in the lounge playing with the cars - but if you had had a look she might have been able to say goodbye in person non?
Hi auditt, I wouldn't worry yourself too much about your experience, its the living who hurt you, not the dead!  :-)
You lucky person getting a visit. My Nannie died - more devastated than anything I could have pre-empted.For the first year I got white feathers when I was upset. Now learning to live with it so the feathers have dried up.Went to bed one noght and I sleep alone - hubby works away_ and someone blew so hard on the back of my neck.My Grandad used to do that.I wasnt frightened at all. They visit my cousins as well.It really helps.

Spooky things like this always happen if you are looking for them.

Yesterday,  I saw two cars, one had the numberplate W456 NAP,  and the next one had the numberplate DFG 903N - I've never seen this before or since, AMAZING!  Imagine the chances!!  ;o)

One of these was my registration - now how spooky is that !!!
