HI there
I went to see my GP as I have been having hypos quite frequently so I asked if he thought I was on too much medication 4x 500mg metformin a day and 2 x 5mg glipazide a day. My HBA1c is sitting at 55 Ive got it down from 114. He has agreed to take me off glipazide altogether and just stick to metformin.I am really pleased He has set me a target of keeping my blood sugar regularly to under 10, He says if it is frequently over 10 I may have to go back on a reduced dose of glipazide 2.5mg but its up to me to maintain blood sugar at good level. Ive done really well average readings are 7.3 over the month. I am going to do this I want to be off all meds for diabetes within 1 year,
