Psst, over here...

(Didn't want to hijack the other thread with chatter so thought best to start a new one Slappy/ LJ)

Can't believe the sky is so pretty tonight/ this morning - Bright moon making the garden look like an aquarium and nothing but a couple of rustles going on in the woods behind the house.
Can't sleep... so coffee on the go and dog curled up on my feet asleep

Hows your night going one and all? xx

can't sleep. have now finished all the crosswords I can find. written up diary. had a mug of hot water. don't want to start knotting again but suppose I will. too chilly to go into studio/workroom. any suggestions?
Coffee is not exactly the best remedy for insomnia. I couldn't sleep so I'm having an extra large G & T. I'll sleep after that!
Should still be as good later, I'll get the cameras out see what I can conjure up... anyway what are you pair doing up at this time of night anyway xxx
there was a big beautiful moon the other night and I just stayed in bed watching the sky for most of it - until the rains came.

Morning LJ x
Have got a big fleece and dressing gown on and still chilly too. Are you hoping to go back to sleep again? any good books on the go that you could read to drop off?
having a chat with you and who else is around. what should we be doing? don't feel like washing the car!

Morning Blackadder :-)
Morning Slappy x

I know, love my coffee - not hoping to get back to sleep anytime soon as OH has a cough and it'll keep me awake, so am chilling out for a bit before taking the dog out. A G&T sounds good Blackadder :-)
Lolz..... did you read Sunny Dave's thread on Bikini Car Washing earlier.....!!
re-reading wolf hall at the moment. am also reading the hare with amber eyes. have met Edmund de waal and have a piece of his work. really nice man. I was very lucky as he gave me a bag of his special porcelain to work with.

Thought about getting the camera out too Slappy, but the light isn't quite right yet. Could've got a corker with the older cat sitting in the garden earlier but she took off in search of the 'rustles'
Took this around the same time last year LJ.... Hoping tonight will be as good

Morning y'all.
i'm usually up for a large G&T but had some talisker earlier. lovely. do you have any preference on the gin blackadder?
Slapshot: That's one of the nicest pictures I've seen for a long time.

Morning Dizmo - Alls well?

LJ, I had to google Edmund de Waal as I've not heard of him before - his book looks interesting. What did you make with the porcelain he gave you?
that's lovely slappers. most evocative.

morning diz. how are you?
Thanks, my mate challenged me to 5 black an white images in 5 days over on facebook..... this was one of the 5, Peas has seen the other 4
My preference is Beefeater, as it is 40% as opposed to 37.5% for the others. However, constraints upon my purse cause me to settle for Sainsbury's gin, which at £12 per bottle isn't bad value.
I made some bowls but still have about half a bag left. so will have to think of something appropriate as I don't want to just use it up. it is very different from the david leach porcelain i usually use.
Yeah I'm absolutely shattered though. I went to bed early as well; around 1ish. Nothing can cure my insomnia. I'm assuming you 4 are all well? apart from being awake at silly o'clock that is!
