yes I think he is. alas.
Yes definitely - long may he reamisn in chargge

Yes certainly - long may he remain in charge.

Sorry - dont know how the typos got there
I feel sorry for Mikey, TTT. Don't you?
Oh God, does that mean we're going to have more of posh boy ??!
I suppose by "defeat" you mean a working majority.

I don't know the answer to your question, but the Labour party needs all the cards to win an overall majority but with such an unpopular leader one wonders how they can possible achieve that.

Too late now to change him.
I too have to accept that we may not win the next election with him in charge.
I would personally like to see someone like Alan Johnson in charge
I'm a bit sick of these slick university types
Does he or his party know he's not popular - why haven't they done something about it ? We need another John Hughes.
vetuste, Mikey and I agree to disagree on this particular subject. I do not have the unswearving faith in Labour he has so it is easy for me to see the warts. I can see all the figures and stats etc but I just don't feel that Ed is going to win despite all the polls etc. To me this feels like Major v Kinnochio 1992. To balance that I don't think Dave is going to have a clear majority either so expect some horse trading and possibly some very unexpected bed fellows.
Surely Mikey doesn't think Millipede is good for Labour's chances, does he, TTT?
Who the bleeding hell is John Hughes?
NJ - Have I got his name wrong, isn't he the one who died some years ago just before an election ?? And is there any need to be so 'bleeding' rude ???
John Smith.
Thanks Sqad x
Ah !

Sorry, chaptazbru, didn't mean to be rude. Was just a natural reaction. Please don't take offence !!!
yeah John Smith was a genius, his answer to all the problems was 1p on income tax, outstanding! Still I was sad he passed because he'd have been slaughtered in 1997 and we would never have had Blair and the WWW.

vetuste: it is not for me to answer for mikey, he'll be along soon I'd imagine!
I'll think about it NJ (lol).

Oh well TTT, what do I know ??!
mikey just sees the Red Flag and little beyond, but secretly I think even he knows Ed is too insipid.
I have said for months, if not years now on here, that Labour are unelectable with Ed Milliband in charge.

Whatever policies they may be dangling in front of the electorate, it is impossible to hear them clearly because the electorate are busy thinking how weird his speech patterns are, how manifestly uncomfortable he looks, and how he does not appear to believe what he is saying.

It's not that people neceessarily want Cameron, just that they don't want Milliband, and Labout should have ditched him long before this, they are now in a no-win situation -

If they ditch him now the look like cowards and back-stabbers

If they keep him they look like being idiots for being loyal to such a liability.

I frankly have no sympathy for the Labour Party - i am no expert on politics, but if I could see the writing on the all, why couldn't they?

It's too late to panic now, the will have to swallow defeat (again!), get rid of Dead Ed who will hopefully have the grace to resign, and try again next time.

As I've said before, Andy, voters in the UK seldom vote for the party or leader they like (because they dislike most of them). They usually for vote for the one they dislike the least.
