does anyone know why firstly men get belly button fluff, and secondly why is it always blue even if they are wearing white?

It's caused by dead skin cells building up in the enclosed space. Sweat and general bodily dirt make it a dark blue or grey colour, much like dust. Since that's mostly what dust is anyway - dead skin cells - it makes sense.

One of the reasons I like the t-shirt I'm currently wearing is that it gives me green belly button fluff in place of the standard issue "navy blue".
Yep, I am *that* shallow.
