How do I stop my jumper (80% cotton, 20% wool) going fluffy after washing? I've bought 2 of the same jumpers and washed one on a 40 degree cycle as advised on the label and dried naturally. However, when dried, the jumper felt quite stiff. I then soaked in a bit of fabric conditioner and again left to dry. But it's gone all fluffy! I don't want the same to happen with the second jumper. Any clues? I'm guessing hand washing is the answer...

I always wash my jumpers inside out on a 30 degree handwash cycle. If your machine doesn't have a handwash cycle you may be better off handwashing gently in a special handwash powder/liquid.
