Take multi-vitamins.

Boil lemonade and drink it hot if you can't get lemonade try just hot water with lemon.

Yes lots of vitamin C. You could also try echinacea with golden seal root- if you can get it. I am convinced that colds are FAR worse these days than they ever used to be, as is flu. The little ******* are getting too clever, and becoming far harder to kill. I used to get a couple of mild colds a year- this year I have been in hospital with pleurisy, had 2 more chest infections and had to take antibiotics 3 times!! Ridiculous. Antibiotics basically don't work. They strip your immune system. I teach kids, and some of them have had constant sore throats/colds for months now. It's not good.
May be a long shot but I saw some goats milk in the supermarket the other day, and it had a statement form Anthony Worral Thompson on the side saying something about how someone was ill and as soon as they switched from cows milk to goats milk it cleared up havent tried it myself but may be worth a go?
Echinacea is good for boosting your immune system long-term, but short-term remedies will make your life more bearable in the meantime.  Sometimes the old ways are the best, and putting your head over a bowl of steaming, boiling water with a towel over your head will help clear your sinusses, relieving the pressure in your ear and any sinus-related headache with it.  Alternatively spend some time in a steam room at a pool or gym if you have one nearby.  Get well soon!
Did anyone think to test you for allergies?  I feel like that on and off for weeks at at time and it is indeed seasonal allergies.
