Strange thing happened yesterday. I went to see a Tarot reader and after about 10 minutes she said that I was in a period of transition, and I would be until February. Therefore she could not read my fortune, and gave me my money back. Has this ever happened to anyone else? It seems a bit freaky to me.

i use to work as a proffesional reader ..and she obviously couldnt make a connection with you..think yourself fortunate she gave you the money back..as some of them will tell you anything ..once they have your money..saying you are in a period of transition would just mean you havnt a lot going on until february..i personally feel you have great changes and opportunitys november onwards..i have picked that up reading your post..and i feel you will be happier than you have for a long time..so take no notice and just let things happen..
Personally I think it is all a load of old rubbish! back in 1985 when I was 20 I pretended to read one of my work mates tea leaves, I just made it all up, he said that what I said about him was all true, next thing I know I am doing it for loads of other folk in other departments that I had not met, Most of them said I was accurate in describing what was going on in their lives and how they should deal with it.
I certainly would not trust Tarrot cards as they are mass produced in a printers somewhere.
A High Priestess once gave me some viking runes made out of Elk Horn which she found in Iceland which at least is more personal and one of a kind. I used them a couple of times for fun, but would not dictate my life over them. I had them 12 years in a draw and only just gave them away.
londondave...the tarot cards can be accurate..i have two diplomas and one certificate in the study of cartomancy/tarot..i dont read the cards at face value i use them as a tool to give me insight..and i read beyond the cards...i do agree their are many that just get a set of cards and say any old thing that comes into their head and they have no knowledge of the cards the background symbols etc..they are just after your money..i dont like the runes they are not for me allthough i had some made for me by a very good runemaster who is also an author..its the symbol on the cards that lead me..dont put all the readers of tarot in the same slot...as i also have other skills that enable me to read accurately..
redhead i really feel for you, a couple of years ago i was at an organised event which had four spirutalist mediums, each specialising in different things. I decided to get my tarot cards read and went to the room where the mediums were. each in turn looked at me and then walked out the room, they had a compere for the evening come in and speak to me, and i was asked if i could leave as my energy was draining them all, and they would not be able to continue while i was in the same room as them. one of the mediums actually came back intot he room and asked if i would meet her in private the next day for a reading, she said she would not charge me for it, but really wanted to speak to me. I arranged to meet her and true to her word she gave me a full reading and didnt take a single penny for it. Apparently i have an immensly strong aura and infact should be doing their job. She was astounded at the reaction i gave each of the mediums and has often got in touch with me to see if i have looked into a spiritulist church. So you might find that you have more of a gift than you realise!!
I am sceptical about Tarot reading, but I firmly believe that astrology is accurate- character wise, at least. I once went to a spiritualist open day thing, and cos I know a bit about astrology, I went up to the astrology stall. The man was guessing people's starsigns!
Now, I know that some people can really look like their sign- cancerians with a round face, leos with big shaggy hair, aquarians with wide spaced eyes and a good jaw, taureans as classically pretty or chubby with a thick neck etc. I look like a typical capricorn- not out of choice-- i just do! (Tall, statuesque, long black hair, glasses, wear dark clothes.) The man guessed that I was a LEO!!!! I am SO not leo! You can spot an obvious leo by the way they love to be centre of attention and so are probably effervescing everywhere. I am quiet and dry humoured.
Now THAT made me cross. The man was obviously a charlatan, giving astrology a bad name.
GucciGal - ive never really followed it up, i guess in a way ive bit a little reluctant to. Its weird to think that witha little practice i could be looking at tarot cards with a new meaning. Its funny as before that incident i had had a few freaky moments. I had a really vivid dream about my cousin (who i had not seen or spoken to in years) about her being pregnant but not knowing it. I spoke to my mum about it and she made me feel a little bit daft about it. I explained the whole thing to her including the name of the baby and everything, and i infact wrote it down cause i wa so sure about it. 6 months later my cousin went into labour, she was only 7months gone and gave birth to a little girl who was only 3lb 1oz. Makes me wonder if i should have found a way to get in thouch and tell her what i thought.
Never had that rehead - don't worry too much though, I saw a very well known medium and they said I have a psychic line on my hand, occassionally I have really strong feelings about things, my nana being one, and had to visit her 450 miles away, within a week she had a fall and has had to go into a nursing home, last month I felt I had to visit her again and the day I left to come home she fell and broke her hip. I was told I should have "lessons" to help me along the spiritualist path but I am a little wary at this time in my life. Maybe in the future ...
buttons...their are two in glasgow 6~7 sauchiehall st g37jt they have a service sunday at 18.30 monday at 19.30 and tuesday at 14.00 the other one is glasgow central 64 berkley st g3 7ds they have one monday at 19.30 and tuesday at 14.00 ...now i have a problem with norwich..i cant find one is peterborough the next big place??..you wont be expected to perform at all when you go to the service it will just be a demonstration of mediumship..and you just put 10p or whatever on the plate..to go to the development circle well you have to join and thats �5 or �10 a year..then its free to go and train to be a medium or healer which ever you are drawn towards..no one will expect you to go in and perform you need to sit in a circle for a while get comfortable and let the energy build..and away you go..also its monitored by trained mediums with qualifications so their is no funny business...
shaz rla...sorry my geography isnt brilliant had to wait for other half to come home..you come under the east london district...i thought you were east midlands...your nearest church is....chapelfield north norwich nr2 1ny.....sunday 18.30...tuesday 13.00 ~16.00 tuesday also...18.45~20.15...they seem to have a lot going on at norwich as they also advertise special events...
