No. Sqad (who we all know is being referred to here) was an ENT Consultant (retired). He might have done a stint as a GP eons ago but that was eons ago.
it may be an appropriate time to remind everyone that '' the disclaimer'' is in health and beauty topic. not body and soul.

But some here will take his word over going to their GP. Agree it's not entirely his fault that they listen to the advice of take a pain killer and monitor the situation...
Never realised the disclaimer was only in H&F.
And there are plenty of people on here who will take the legal advice without going to a solicitor. That`s just the way it is.

237SJ, the problem is that because he has a medical background people will often take his word as gospel and follow his advice. All the disclaimers in the world doesn't heal the physical damage after taking the wrong and often dangerous advice.
Taking legal advice is not a risk to someones physical health.

..anneasquith "it may be an appropriate time to remind everyone that "the disclaimer" is in health and beauty topic not body and soul". It`s not. It`s in health and fitness. Beauty is a separate category.
I think that's what she meant.
obviously I meant health and fitness. sorry for any misunderstanding.
I think this conversation demonstrates that it's all very well asking on here for initial advice (e.g. if someone else is suffering from something similar) - but not to take our word for it, medical/clinical or otherwise - nothing beats seeing your own GP who knows your clinical history. We don't.
Hence the disclaimer..
Precisely. And saying 'no big deal' is very dismissive.
Which is in H&F and not B&S and B&S is where most posts are placed.

Tambo, himself had issues with his arm going numb but didn't sort it out or see a doctor (he didn't even have a doctor at the time), if he had, maybe the aneurysm in his brain wouldn't have gone bang and he wouldn't have had to have emergency brain surgery.
