Erythema Ab Igne

Daughter has this on her back (very widespread) and one leg from repeated prolonged contact with a hot water bottle, can anyone tell me have they experience of this and is it likely to clear?

She has had it for several months and during that time has gone from bright red to dark brown but shows no sign of disappearing.

It is quite disfiguring, with summer approaching she is upset as she can't wear a crop top or bikini.

Not my area of expertise, but in a nutshell, there is no treatment and as to whether it will go away, the answer is.....unlikely.

That's sad to hear sqad as she is only 26 years old.
