While commuters in London find it hard to get to and from their place of work, and parts of England are under water, Labour fills it's front bench up with female MPs, and turns on the Tories because they at that time had none.

Absolutely pathetic, if they are all that concerned on equality why haven't they any none white MPs on their front bench?

You need to re-phrase that AOG.
LOL.
So, one assumes that laybore are suggesting "positive descrimination" - which is of course an oxymoron. It is abhorrent to the left but dare I suggest that ability alone shoud determine who does what job, not just in governement but in all cases?
AOG

First...'non-white'.

Secondly, I suspect the minute Labour chose non-whites, the usual mob would be shouting about preferential treatment and positive discrimination.
I was once a voluntary director of a charity working with young people and we noticed that all of the board were middle-aged able-bodied white men. We did try to recruit an elderly disabled oriental woman to redress the balance, but were unable to find one.
Hands up any women who feel they are missing out by not being on the Tory front bench.

Thanks for the offer, jj, but absolutely not.
I would prefer to have the best person for the job - man or woman. I really don't understand the obsession with having more women MPs just because they are women.

Oh so that's what's stopping them eh? They are such a scary lot in more ways than one aren't they?
I agree with the OP, pathetic or what? That was carefully engineered by Minibrain. He usually only has Harriet the Crow and Yvonne the Meaningful sitting in front.

There are lots of women on the front bench, not least Theresa May!
