just thought that some people might not know who willam roache is :)

In that case why is there no mention of him (WR) in your OP?
Because this is "ChatterBank, the home of natter and nonsense on The AnswerBank."

I agree, it is nonsense to say
"just thought that some people might not know who willam roache is"
then not link him to the thread.
he has been found not guilty so that's that I wonder if the same would have happened to Jimmy Saville seeing as most people with "celebrity status" seem to also get off charges whatever they may be e.g.Michael Jackson, O.J.Simpson to name a few. What a waste of public money, presume Dave Lee Travers & Rolf Harris will also get a not guilty verdict too.
Stuart Hall didn't.
So everyone accused of historical sexual offences....deny deny deny, and if you can't deny...lie..
Ridiculous trying to charge anyone for groping someone over 40 years ago. I shudder to think who I tried it on with in the 70's after a few beers. Mind you I'm not rich and famous so I wont be worth pursuing.
He was accused of rape!!

Its not just the rich and famous that are accused.....

The internet is your friend!!
He was found not guilty by a jury of his peers, they listened to all the evidence and decided in his favour.

Let's leave it at that please.
