Genuine question, no stupid answers required, thanks.

If I flush my goldfish down the toilet, will they survive?

For goodness sake.. folks can't have much going on in life if they can get so excitable about goldfish!

Definitely won't if they are already dead :(

Ha! They are alive and kicking
No because they will go into the sewage treatment plant where they will be filtered out with all the solid material and left to dry out somewhere.
why flush a live fish down the loo ?
They won't be gold for long
I doubt it. They might survive for a little while but not for long.

Oh :-/

Ok. Next question: I have three unwanted goldfish (mean that in the nicest way possible), where can I... er... dispose of them?
Why do you want to?
Don`t kill them. Try Freecycle. I know that sounds strange but there might just be someone who wants to give them a home. They don`t deserve to die, just because you have no use for them in your life.
Isn't there anyone that you could give them to, I'm sure there must be some kids that would love to have some Goldfish.
Post on FB, have you got kids? Get them to get their friends to 'want' them. Why don't you want them, they're hardly high maintenance.
Oh I know, donate them to the local school, old folks home, etc.
Do any of the neighbours have a fish pond in their garden ?
you may not want them, but will your children not wonder where they are ?
oh donate the poor things to someone, so sad to kill them for no reason.
Found your answer..... Seems Jim Henson had the same idea for disposal of unwanted gold fish.

I'd suggest a local residential home. they often have big tanks of fish. Or donate them to your nearest pet shop or garden centre that sells them.

I've tried to get rid, no one seems to want goldfish.
Would it be better to release them into the parks fish pond?

I would like to point out, I don't mean this in a mean way. I am literally out of ideas.
