they dont x-ray you, they x-ray your bag!

Yes they do x-ray your bags, but you also have to walk through an x-ray machine in case you are carrying knives, etc.

The airport staff are used to seeing foreign bodies inside bodies, so I wouldn't worry too much. Hope you are feeling on top form & enjoy your holiday bazskelly.

The machine that you walk through, detects metal items held within your clothing, so perhaps your operation won't be discovered after all!
The metal detectors set off the screws in my dad's ankle so yours might too - you should ask your doc, they can give you a letter confirming that the clips are there to show at the airport if needs be.
I had the 'snip' many years ago and was concerned when I had an MRI scan for a bad back, the consequences being testicle soup ! however the consultant told me that the metal was not affected by the magnetism. I should imagine your clips would be the same, and anyway they probably wont show up.
