Did you feel worried before you did the tests?

Social anxiety disorder is much more than just "shyness" - it causes intense, overwhelming fear over what may just be an everyday activity like shopping or speaking on the phone. People affected by it may fear doing or saying something they think will be humiliating.

It won't go away by itself because it could be caused by a long-standing thinking style you've developed. The main treatments seem to be based around CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) which help you understand how your own mind works and gives you techniques to challenge your thinking styles.

Try going through the free online course 'Coping with Social Anxiety'

Hope that helps.
Or better still, stop doing the tests, stop thinking about your worries and get on with your life because it's surprisingly short.
It's not that simple judge.
lena, your mum no doubt probably already has an idea something is wrong just hasn't approached you yet. How many invitations have you already turned down or made excuses for? Plowter gives good advice. I'd also approach your doctor. If you can't see yourself explaining everything to your doctor, write everything down & how it affects you & hand it to them in an appointment. All you have to say is, this is hat I'm going through
'what'
// i cant just go to my mum and say 'i need a psychiatrist'//

Why not? Does your mum hold old-fashioned views about this kind of illness?
Or is it that you expect it will cost a lot of money?
(Free treatment is available on the NHS, in the UK, give or take a waiting list).

Lena...I have suffered all my life with this. I'm currently going through an 'episode'.

I hate it with a passion, I don't understand it but I do know stress triggers it.I appear to be a gregarious person, it's a front, my life at times is a sham. I do overcome those 'episodes' eventually so all I can suggest to you is to try to take time out in order to re-evaluate your life and relax. have a little walk every day.Force yourself if need be but crucially remember you're not alone....btw...I do have fun sometimes :)
You don't need a psychiatrist anyway. A GP appointment is a good start. Be honest and see what he/she says.

Hello dear!

One of my friend was also suffering from the social anxiety in past 1 year. She got her treatment from the online psychiatric services by My Fit Brain myfitbrain.in . She was connected to the best licensed and experienced psychiatrist. At first she was on medication along with counseling sessions. Later on her medication was stopped and she was advised to continue some counseling session. Now, she is completely fine.
