Hi, I think I may have a kidney infection and hoping to get doctor appointment tomorrow. But I've been getting these sharp and sometimes burning pains in my shoulders down to my wrists. Is this connected do you know?

Why do you think you have a kidney infection?

If, by any chance you have a kidney problem, the pains that you describe would not fit into that disorder.

Too sketchy and not enough information for a reliable reply.

Just someone suggested I have; I'm not convinced either actually but 'may' have a UTI, either way going to check it out tomorrow. More concerned about this pain in my arms to be honest.
O.K How long have you had these "burning pains", does eating or exercise bring them on and does anything relieve them.

How old are you? Are you taking any medication and have you any underlying medical condition?

Are you a smoker?

It started in my hand, about 10 days ago. I've been on crutches for nearly a year for a mobility problem so I thought it was due to that. Then it started in the other hand and now it's spread to my arms and shoulders. It will hurt sometimes when doing something but often just comes on without me doing anything. I'm 41, non-smoker.
Thanks....doesn't sound a big deal, almost certainly muscular in nature, mention it to your Doc tomorrow who may well investigate further.

If you are wondering..........no......they are not associated with your heart....;-)

Thanks for advice, will get it checked. And I didn't think it was my heart either :)
