He Threw Away My Teddy..

Just watching Bargain Hunt - the auctioneer's just told that he no longer has a teddy, his father threw away it away when the boy was seven. I find that really sad.... and not very kind.

That's mean !
My son lost his favourite teddy (it was a monkey) when he was little. He never replaced it with one of his others so I got rid of them when we moved house.

He still remembers Monkey fondly though.

it is just sooooo bad!!!!
most toys get thrown away sooner or later but sometimes parents misjudge the timing. It's not necessarily a sign of evil parenthood.
I don't remember having one besides a massive Orvil.
Child abuse ! Nasty dad.

oh! I find that sad too.
If I recall, any cuddly toys I had just became fodder for the latest puppy we acquired as I grew up.
This post makes me very nostalgic I loved my childhood teddy who I named growler,passed it on to my daughter who took it to school,never to be seen again :o(
My Mum still has my childhood teddy bear and looks after her !

vakayu - Mum has her dressed in a lovely little baby frock and she sits on a chair in one of the bedrooms! (Her name is Sally). Teddy, not Mum !
When I went through Commando training we had a Teddy in our hut. On completion of our training it was passed on to the next squad.
Viv 38 how nice that sounds and I know I am being childish and stupid but I was very attached to my teddy and do regret not still having him,stupid isn't it.
Was it like a mascot then mcmouse?
I still have my Son's first Teddy. He'll be 34 next birthday. He sits in the chair next to my Son's old bed.
