A friend's daughter was just given an eternity ring.
This prompted me to wonder if there is a particular way you should wear them.
I have all three rings, and I wear them in the order I was given them.
For example, engagement ring nearest the finger nail, wedding ring in the middle, then the eternity ring nearest my wrist.
From the wrist, she is wearing hers thus, wedding, engagement then eternity
How do you wear yours?

Mmm, now what category?

i don't have a wedding ring (or an eternity ring for that matter). If i did o would wear wedding nearest wrist with engagement on top, and eternoty on the other hand

It's commonly believed that you shouldn't remove your wedding ring, so it would naturally be nearest your wrist. Other rings usually have stones, which would perhaps either work loose, or become filmed with soap, so they are often removed for hand-washing. I go with your friend!
Yes, I agree with wedding ring on finger first - as I never take it off; then eternity ring and then engagement ring - but only because they sit better in that order.
I wear mine wedding ring nearest the wrist then eternity ring and then engagement ring. I have never removed my wedding ring but take the other rings off to clean them.
Me too, Kathyan.

I suppose that the fact I have worn mine in a certain order for over 40 years makes it harder for me to change.
Not sure what the correct way is, but I wear what I think looks right, which is eternity ring first (nearest palm) as its slightly too big and the others wedge it on, then engagement ring, as its the only one with a raised stone ,then wedding ring.
I seldom wear my wedding ring as I am much larger than the day I first got it, and I wouldn't wan the japes I get up to with chemicals and abrasives to mark it. Somebody once tried telling me some stuff about your husband should buy you this kind of ring at X point, this other kind of ring when you had a son etc but it sounded like nonsense.
I don't wear jewellery in the house so I don't have anything I never take off - but I agree with ferlew but the other way round. The order you wear them is in the order you were given them - so engagement ring goes on first, then wedding ring, then eternity ring.

I noticed when I lived in the Midlands that a lot of girls were given an eternity ring pre-engagagement, which I thought was odd.
Thats the way it's done here, boxy.
I have 3 really nice rings. A ruby and diamond engagement ring, a bevelled edge wedding ring and a 5 stone Victorian eternity ring. Because they were all nice rings I never liked to wear them together.
I used to wear them separately. My wedding ring was my everyday ring. My engagement ring for days off and going out and my eternity ring was my special bling one which was probably my favourite. I lived to wear them.
Unfortunately I was divorced 8 years ago and I have never worn the rings since which is a real shame as they are lovely. I cannot bring myself to wear them as for what they symbolised to me but they obviously did not have that effect on my ex.
I had my wedding ring made into a pendant of my children's initials. My daughter will and wants the other two rings.
I chose a half eternity ring instead of a traditional engagement ring, as I didn't want the stone catching on stuff I was working with.

Made a mental note to start checking girlies hands out.
I am wondering if it's a regional thing?
Wedding first on then engagement and finally eternity.
I have been married for 42 years now and have never taken my wedding ring off. So I wear my wedding ring first to eternity ring, given to me for our 25 anniversary and engagement ring. I am dreading ever having to take my wedding ring off as it would have to be cut off now but hopefully I will not know anything about it when that time comes. Brenda
I was told that it was wedding ring closest to wrist as this is closest to your heart.
