Best Henry Hoover ?

I saw a reconditioned one for £80 . You might as well pay the extra £20 and get a guarantee.

You only have to look at the Which? tests on vacuums to see that those that are any good at all, come with a big price-tag.
Inexpensive ones really are a waste of money.

I have Hetty, it's ok but nowhere near as good as the Dyson I used to have.

I have a Henry, best vacuum I have ever had. Imported it from England. New it as £89 and worth every penny.

I had a Dyson upright previously and I much prefer Hetty..

Dyson was too bulky and I found the pipe to be a bit crap.

daffy: that's exactly what Which? says. People like their Numatic machines but they are decidedly mediocre when tested.

im not stingy but paying £120 for a henry or £340 for dyson is a bit extreme. but ive just looked on ebay and i see henry hoovers new for around £90-£100 so i might as well by one though i do not know the difference between henry, hetty or henriette etc i.e best suction power. that is probably what i meant to ask at start so sorry. ))

Aww, I really wanted a Hetty, but got a Dyson instead - and I bloody hate it!
Far too heavy and bulky and the pipe is terrible. It's got a flexible piece, but it still seems really rigid and makes hoovering the stairs really difficult. I much prefer the pull along hoovers.

Not really an answer to your question but my daughter had a Henry until I bought one of the GTECH Airram ones. She has bought one now. They aren't cheap (£200) but worth every penny!

I have a Henry. It's ok, but has a tendency to roll over as you pull it instead of staying upright as it should.

I have a Henry. I think it was £120, but copes with 4 kids, 2 long-haired dogs and 3 cats-1 long-haired. Can't fault it.

Yes, OG, Numatic is the company that makes the Henry etc etc. It's very good marketing - you give it a name, a face, a pretty colour...in fact a bit of character. It's such a pity that as a vacuum cleaner, it sucks...or, rather, doesn't...very well. In fact, it's mediocre (Which? opinion).
