What Do You Think Of Men With Tattoo,s On Their Necks ?

i very stupidly got a 1"x1" tattoo on back of my neck behind the ear about 7 years ago, since then i have tried laser 4 times, plus i have had a tatooist inject a compound into it to try get it off. the laser has now left me with a 4" square white scar which has been there years now and is a sight, the skin colour will not grow back , ever !! im now left with a scaring plus the original tattoo is still there a little. i was at a tattooist yesterday and he suggested getting another more tastefull tattoo over it..i dont know, i am 46 years old, i fear i will regret it ...what do people think of tattoos on neck wether tastefull or not, do not want to look any more like a thug or a chav than what i allready look lol

tattoos fade in time, the designs will morph into one if there are lots, a friend had some done 30 odd years ago, and you can't tell what it was.

I find tattoos very informative, they give me information about a persons level of self esteem, their ability to resist peer pressure, their artistic tastes, their maturity, their ability to prioritize, their vanity and their social class. All this without having to talk to them ...

On the subject of tatoos; Why is it that (at least here in the U.S.) young women especially, (so it seems) spend lots of money, never mind the pain and discomfort, on having a largish, multi-colored tatoo applied to the middle of their lower back? It's not often seen by anyone, but never by the tatooee (is that a word or a resident of a planet from Star Wars? A drunken sailor (not to diminish drunke sailors as a whole) can look at the anchor on their forearm or admire "Mom" on the upper arm, but not the youngish woman wearing the too tight hip-hugging jeans (you know, the ones that produce the 'muffin'top?) with the screaming eagle in full descent over a red, desert at sunset full of saguaro cactii forever emblazoned just above the plumber's butt peaking out? (Rant over)

More importantly what do you think of them, if there's always going to be a mark there would you prefer it to be a faded scar with a bit of tattoo or a proper visible picture? People do a lot worse, do what makes you comfortable

the scar on my neck looks dirty, i spoke to few friends ( woman ) in their 20,s /30,s and they said a tattoo, stylish one would look better than the scar....hhmmmmmm....

Cailin, i have one on the back of my shoulder- it's a unicorn's head, but the face is actually my favourite pony from when i was a child. I also have a row of butterflies on my lower back which represents one for each of my children. I don't need other people to see them, i just like to know they're there and also can hide them easily if i dress up. I don't like tattoos with words, because i don't want people reading me. But mine are for my own pleasure only.
